Your Service Agreement
Your service agreement with Centennial Wireless begins upon your acceptance. Your minimum term under your service agreement is 2-years from the date of acceptance.
Billing
All monthly recurring charges are billed in advance. Airtime and other measured charges are billed in full minute increments and actual airtime and usage is rounded up to the next full minute increment. Chargeable airtime begins for outgoing calls when you press "SEND" (or similar key) and for incoming calls when a signal connection with the caller is established with our facilities. Chargeable airtime ends a couple of seconds after you press "END" (or similar key). You will not be charged for calls that do not connect, or for busy signals or unanswered calls, provided such calls are under 60 seconds.
A late payment fee of $5.00 is applied to all unpaid balances due from prior periods.
A $25 returned-check fee will be assessed to any payments returned due to non-sufficient funds.
Additional Fees, Taxes and Surcharges
Your bill will include federal, state and, where applicable, local taxes that may vary by jurisdiction. These charges are generally applied to recurring monthly charges, local usage, long distance and roaming usage. All customers are required to pay these taxes, unless exempted by the taxing authority. It may also include surcharges, governmental fees and similar assessments, including fees such as the Universal Service Fund and regulatory fees.
Federal Universal Service Fund
Created by the federal government, the USF was developed to help ensure affordable telecommunications service for all consumers, specifically residents in high-cost rural communities and low-income customers. Additionally, the Federal USF supports discounted telecommunications services for schools, libraries and rural healthcare facilities. All telecommunications providers are required to pay into the Federal USF, and their contributions may be recovered from customers. As directed by the FCC, Centennial bills a USF fee based on a percentage of your telecommunications charges. The federal government revises the percentage amount that companies are required to pay into the Federal USF each quarter; as a result, the amount that Centennial recovers from customers may be adjusted on a quarterly basis. All monies collected are forwarded to the appropriate taxing authority.
InterCarrier Access Fee
To cover the costs associated with network access costs to other telecom companies, a 1.8% Intercarrier Access Fee will be assessed on charges excluding equipment, accessories, Federal Cost Recovery Fee, Landline Interconnect Fee and Taxes.
Landline Interconnect Fee
The local phone company charges Centennial Wireless when you place a call from your Centennial phone to a local landline phone number. The local phone company interconnect fee, which is listed under the "Details of Charges" on your monthly statement, covers some of this expense.
Early Termination Fee
A $250 Early Termination Fee applies when a customer cancels their wireless service before their service agreement term is fulfilled.
Network Programming Fee
You are required to pay a one-time network programming fee upon activating service with Centennial Wireless. The network programming fee is $45.
