At Centennial Wireless, we are committed to safeguarding your privacy.
We limit the information collected about you to what is needed for
conducting business and offering products and services that might interest you.
Centennial Wireless uses email, text messages, telemarketing, and direct mail
to inform customers about products or services we think will interest them.
You may choose to provide us with personally identifiable information (such
as name, address, telephone number or email address) in a number of ways -
through our Web site, by ordering service from us, sending us email,
registering to receive news or public information or applying for a job.
Explanation of our Privacy Principles
These principles apply to our use of "personally identifiable
information." Personally identifiable information is information about
individual customers. Typically, this is information contained on the bill
that you receive from us.
Information that does not reveal a customer's identity is not personally
identifiable information and is not covered by these principles.
We will update and revise our principles in response to changes in the law
or in our practices.

Information Collected About You
We collect
personally identifiable information about users of our products or services.
Personal identifiable information is information that can be directly
associated with a specific person or entity, and much of it can be found on
your bill from us. It usually includes name, address, telephone number, email
address, or information about activities directly linked to a person.
Our
definition of personally identifiable information does not include “aggregate”
information. Aggregate information is information we collect about a category
or group of services or customers who use our services. All personally
identifiable information has been removed from this data. An example of
aggregate information is a report of how many customers use our service at a
particular time of day.
We collect
personally identifiable information about you that helps us provide better
services and products. We may also use this information to protect you and our
other customers, our Associates, and property against fraud, theft or abuse.
Some of this
information you give us when you buy a product or service from us. Typically,
you will give us billing address and credit information when you buy something
from us. Also, whenever you use our service, you provide us information,
including the numbers you dial, that we collect and use to bill you properly.
We may also use this information to investigate fraud.
Sometimes we
collect information about you automatically. If you visit our web site, we may
collect your IP address and the type of browser that you use. If you go to our
wireless web, we collect information about the websites you visit. Furthermore,
all wireless systems know when your phone is turned on and roughly where it is
located. That is how calls and messages are delivered to you.
From time to
time, we may obtain information about you from outside sources and add it to
your account information. When you give us credit information in connection
with a request for service, we may receive additional information about you
from the credit bureau that is used to verify your information before
initiating service. We sometimes purchase commercially available demographic
and marketing information that we use to offer you better service and
products.
How We Use Personally Identifiable Information
Our Customer Agreement contains
disclosures about personally identifiable information that we are required to
protect under federal law, how and when we use this information, when we may
disclose it and ways you can restrict how we use or disclose it. We may also
include information about the privacy implications of individual products and
services in the terms and conditions for those products and services. These
terms and conditions typically are found in the printed brochures for
particular products or services, or sometimes you may view them on our
websites, or electronically the first time you use the products or services.
Controlling
How and When We Use Your Personally Identifiable Information
You have many opportunities to control how we use
your personally identifiable information to introduce you to new products and
services. For example, Centennial Wireless will not call you to market products
and services if you have expressed to us a preference not to be called for such
purposes.
However, we may use personally identifiable information internally for our own
general marketing and planning purposes - so that we can, for example, develop,
test and market new products and services that meet the needs of our customers.
Ordinarily, such information is combined into aggregations that do not include
personally identifiable information.
Disclosure of Personally
Identifiable Information
We use
personally identifiable information to provide better service to our
customers. We us this information for billing purposes, to complete
transactions you may have requested, or to anticipate problems you may encounter
while using our service. We also use this information to give you advice about
new products and services that may more satisfactorily meet your needs.
We may alert
you to these new products and services by email, short text message,
telemarketing, and direct mail.
We release
personally identifiable information when we believe its release is appropriate
to comply with the law or in good faith reliance on legal process, such as a
subpoena, a court order, or for E911 assistance. We will also release personally
identifiable information to enforce or apply customer agreements, to bill you
and collect for our services, to protect our property or rights, or to protect
our customers from abuse, fraud, or other unlawful uses of our services. We
will also make a disclosure if needed to calculate and pay our taxes, or if we
reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate risk of death or
serious physical injury to any person justifies such disclosure.
Accuracy of Personally Identifiable
Information
We are committed to ensuring that the personally
identifiable information we use about customers is accurate. To that end, we
strive to verify that our customer records are correct. If you find an error in
your Centennial Wireless bill, please notify us so we can correct it. Our
Customer Care Associates are trained to answer questions about, and to give you
reasonable access to, the information we have about you. Our Customer Care
Associates will also provide explanations of how we use this information and how
to correct any inaccuracies if they occur.
Compliance with Privacy Laws
Customer and policymaker
perceptions of privacy have changed over time and will continue to do so.
Changes in technology can also alter what is appropriate in protecting privacy.
Laws may change accordingly. We will regularly examine and update these
Principles if necessary.
We consider privacy laws and regulations to be the minimum standards we adhere
to in protecting privacy. In addition to complying with these laws and
regulations, we also adhere to other Principles;
Spam
- We supported the passage of
federal legislation aimed at providing consumers with control over receipt
of unsolicited electronic messages, or 'spam'. We employ tools in our
network to detect incidences of 'spam' sent to our customers' wireless
devices. We may take legal action against 'spammers' who attempt the abuse
of our network.
Code of Conduct
- Our Code of Business Conduct
requires our Associates to be aware of and protect the privacy of all
forms of your communications - whether they are voice, data or image
transmissions - as well as your personally identifiable information. Associates
are trained regarding their responsibilities to safeguard your privacy.
We strive to ensure that information we have about you is secure and
confidential, and to ensure that our Associates comply with these
principles. We do not tamper with, intrude upon or intentionally disclose
the existence or contents of any communication or transmission, except as
required by law or the proper management of our network, or with your
consent. Our policy is to limit access to databases containing personally
identifiable information to Associates, agents, affiliates, suppliers,
vendors, consultants and contractors who need it to perform their jobs and
in order to serve you - and they are contractually obligated to protect
that information. We use safeguards to increase data accuracy and to
identify and authenticate the sources of customer information. We use
locks and physical security measures, sign-ons and password control
procedures and internal auditing techniques to protect against
unauthorized use of terminals and entry into our data systems.
We encourage our Associates to be proactive in implementing and enforcing
these Principles.
Implementation
- We expect any vendors and
consultants we hire, as well as our agents, affiliates, suppliers and
contractors, to observe these Principles with respect to any personally
identifiable information of our customers.

associated with it. These data can include:

Centennial's
Use of Cookies
"Cookies" are small text files that a web site
transfers to a site visitor's hard disk or browser for added functionality, or
for tracking web site usage. We do not use cookies to gather personal
information like a person's name or e-mail address. In order to measure the
effectiveness of our online presence, Centennial uses cookies to identify
repeat visitors to our web site, to determine the path visitors take on our
site, and to identify visitors who came to Centennial as the result of a banner
ad on a third party web site. Any information gathered by the use of cookies is
compiled on an aggregate, anonymous basis.
Security
When visitors submit information on certain web pages, Centennial uses SSL
(Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology to protect the information they
submit. This technology protects visitors from having their information
intercepted by anyone other than Centennial while it is being transmitted.
Centennial works hard to ensure that our systems are secure
and that they meet industry standards. Where appropriate, we employ firewalls,
encryption technology, user authentication systems (e.g., passwords and
personal identification numbers) and access control mechanisms to control
access to systems and data.
Children
Children should consult with their parents or guardian
before furnishing any data to us. We believe that parents should supervise
their children’s online activities and may consider using one of a number of
available parental control tools that provide a child friendly online
environment and can prevent children from disclosing personally identifiable
information without parental consent. If a child has provided personally
identifiable information without the consent of a parent or guardian, that
parent or guardian should contact us to request that the information be deleted
from our records.
Centennial Wireless recognizes that parents often purchase
our products and services for family use, including use by minors. Any
information collected from such usage will appear to be the personal
information of the actual subscriber to the service, and will be treated as
such under this policy. If we make available offers and products online where
a child informs us that he or she is under the age of 13, we will ask a parent
to confirm the child’s order in advance of further collection, use, or disclosure
of personal information from the child.
Hyperlinks
Our web site contains hyperlinks or "links" to
other sites, and other sites may "link" to this site. Web sites
linking to and from this site may have different privacy practices from the
ones described here. Visitors to our site should read the privacy statements
of other web sites they visit. This privacy statement applies solely to
information collected by this web site.
In some instances, however, where a service is provided
through a non-Centennial company, you can feel confident that your personally
identifiable information will be protected. Centennial requires suppliers not
to use the information for any purpose other than the purpose for which it was
originally collected.
Changes to
Centennial's Internet Privacy Policy
Centennial may, from time to time, make changes to this
policy. We recommend that visitors to this site re-visit this privacy policy on
occasion to learn of new privacy practices and changes to our policy.
